We decided to upgrade our cat tree from a £40 Amazon purchase due to our ragdolls hugely outgrowing the old one - they weigh 5.2 and 5.5 kg (11.5 and 12lb) at 8 months so are pretty huge already. We were looking at a few options elsewhere but kept seeing recommendations for RHR Pets, prices are obviously more expensive but everyone said the quality and durability is worth it. Obviously we agreed and purchased the Penthouse Plus in Cream last week and so far it has been amazing, it was easy enough to build with 2 people (definitely wouldn't want to do it as 1 person), instructions were clear, and the quality of the finish and materials is worlds apart from our 1st cat tree, plus it's absolutely massive and our cats now have loads of room. Plenty of cat enrichment with the rope, different platforms, the house etc and so far they are loving it. We are much more confident in the quality and durability and aren't worried about them breaking parts or knocking the whole tree over as we were previously. Have read reviews of them lasting 10+ years and we are hoping for the same. Especially for larger cats we would highly recommend spending a bit extra for the peace of mind all round.
